I work for the UN as of April... rough couple of years previous to that. 2017 and 2018 were tough, was writing for Anime-Now, but that got folded. Got stuck substituting. Not much pay, not much time to write. Did a Hail Mary on the UN Job and got it.
I do a bunch of techy-teachy-writey stuff. Pay’s.... okay. Healthcare and vacation is top notch. About to go on a 5 week trip to Europe, starting in Austria and ending at my cousin’s wedding in England.
I post cars on Instagram. I also post cars on Twitter. Still have the Logo, but it barely moves, I have a pretty typical Japanese train commute.
Journalism wise. I am the night editor over at PayDayReport.com (with Mike Elk, who co-authored this Intercept piece with me). Editor in this case literally means editing, haven’t authored a piece myself . I’ve done some other freelance work, so I’m still doing the journalism, and it seems to be picking up .
All in all, professionally, obama-notbad.jpg, I guess.

Happy to know that you’ve gotten a more stable line of work and are getting work at all. At this rate I might as well make up one of my own if I was to get b y in college.
Do you still get in touch with ye ol’ Jalop staffers? And are you a bit surprised by the new names both here and on the FP?

I’m on Twitter pretty much 24/7, and thus interact with the current and former Jalop staff pretty much daily.

Yeah. It was a sad day when Bandai closed shop on us. But it’s cool. Word is getting around I’m available for some fine, fine automobile wordsmithing, so we’ll see. I keep meaning to write more at Nippolitica ( https://nippolitica.wordpress.com/ ) but it’s hard to be motivated when you know the benefit is abstract rather than an agreed upon fee.
